Summer Camping
This weekend I went north to Ellijay to celebrate a dear friend graduating nursing school and extended that trip into an extra night camping with the boy in the Chatahoochee National Forest. We're both pretty outdoorsy and have been talking about going camping for months but with our school and teaching schedules, we hadn't had time. I told him to surprise me and pick a place and we spent our weekend at Cooper's Creek.
It was such a nice spot: heavily wooded, not a lot of noise, and right on the creek. We loved just sitting around the fire, cooking, and completely unplugging. I can't recommend the spot enough. It was pretty removed and was just the getaway we wanted. We've both found a few more places we want to try around North Georgia and are already planning our next get away.
