What's Old is New Again
I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on quitting social media for quite a while. My husband and best friend deleted facebook nearly a decade ago. I've dithered. I make the excuse that it's how I keep in touch with friends and acquaintances. But honestly, it's just a time suck. I experimented with letting it go for the month of February and just like all the op-eds say, I'm definitely happier without them.
But, like most millennials, I like sharing what's going on in my life digitally. Unlike most millennials, I live 1200 miles away from all of my best friends. A couple of years ago we took a chance and moved from Atlanta to the Twin Cities and we love it! We love the seasons, culture, food, and overall are happier with life here. But with quitting social media, I lose an easy way to share what's going on in my life with my friends and family. So, I've circled back to blogging. Even though all the advice is that "blogs are dead," I'm planning to use this space to share what's going on in my life.
Welcome to this space!
